Goal of Program

CTE & Transfer

Include any other information you would like to share.
The proposed program is in alignment with the CCC mission of providing degree-applicable credit. The proposed degree will offer baccalaureate-level courses appropriate to general education and the respiratory care major. Students who complete their baccalaureate will be more marketable and will have more job opportunities than those who have an associate degree.   Per employer surveys provided by COE, most employers prefer a bachelor's degree for hire but many RTs in California do not have a bachelor's degree.
Please list similar programs at other colleges in the service area which may be impacted, including the name of the college, the name of the program that may be impacted, the name of the person you contacted and the outcome of that contact.
