The Human Resources certificate of achievement prepares students for successful entry-level employment in human resources as generalists, assistants, or recruiters. It was developed in conjunction with local employers across various industries to prepare students to think critically, solve problems, and communicate professionally. Students who complete the certificate will be ready for the workforce. Additionally, the certificate provides a stepping stone to continue their education and complete an A.S. in Business.
10 students are anticipated to complete this certificate annually.
This certificate provides students with the knowledge necessary to obtain an entry-level position in human resources. Skills obtained in this program can be applied to several human resource management roles such as human resources generalist, human resources assistant, or recruiter.
This certificate is unique to our area. While a registered human resources apprenticeship exists at the district level, the short-term nature and lack of employment requirement for this certificate will allow the college to serve a new population of students seeking timely, relevant workforce training.
