Certificate of Achievement in Media Arts: Virtual Production, Motion Capture, and Advanced Visual Effects
New Program
Film Production (061220)
08/26/24
The successful completion of this certificate will give students a thorough background in the aesthetics of film and media, and experience in advanced visual effects, motion capture production and post production, and 3D modeling for gaming and use on virtual production sets for feature motion picture, commericals, music videos episodic content and various other projects.
Since 2018-2019 our completers for the Media Arts: Visual effects programs have gone up over 800%. This is not something that has gone unnoticed nor is it something we didn't foresee when we wrote the Visual Effects program. There is a fast-growing need for visual effects artists in the entertainment industry and we plan to prepare out students to meet that industry need by offering this new, more advanced visual effects degree and certificate with not just advanced skils but added tools to prepare them. The additions come in the way of motion capture, virtual production, and 3D modeling. We project very similar numbers to what we saw over the course of the first three years of our Visual Effects program.
