Home and building automation is one of the fastest growing industries, and the Residential Automation Cloud Based certificate will cover the new technologies and how to connect smart devices to communicate efficiently. The program addresses specific areas of interest in the field, for a significant number of students and provides an opportunity for students to upgrade their skills in digital communications in conjunction with industry requirements. Communications technologies taught in this program will enable students to run cables and manage music throughout the house, home theaters, and much more. The majority of courses are project-based, and students will use the latest technology and devices in communications technology.

Program Goal
Residential Automation Cloud Based degree combines Electrical concepts, safety issues, combined with hands on skills, related to electrical field work. E/ET Curriculum provides an opportunity for students to 1) learn and understand how electrical systems, networking systems, and data lines work safely; 2) increase their working knowledge, and hands on skills; 3) Develop skills in understanding and applying National Electric Code and networking; Courses also include opportunities for students to work in a team environment, solve technical problems, and troubleshoot the systems in the lab.

Residential Automation Cloud Based degree combines Electrical Concepts, networking, and telecommunication, and safety with day-to-day practical installation application to achieve Building Code, and safety goals. Curriculum provides an opportunity for networking students to 1) to increase their working knowledge; 2) develop their installation skills; and 3) understand the multiple roles of residential and commercial electricians. Courses also include opportunities for students to role play and address team work, solve problems collaboratively using acquired knowledge and skills. For the past 10 years, we have partnered with industrial labor division of the state to offer the Electrician Trainee program, and we have seen an increasing high demand, and enrollment
