The intent of this program change is to add Fire 173 - Legal Aspects of Emergency Services to the program as an elective. Fire 173 was recently (Spring 2020) approved as a new course and is expected to be offered Fall 2020 as an online course.

Palomar College submitted the appropriate LMI from the COE. The COE recommends proceeding with developing a program or a program modification because 1) the occupations’ entry-level and median earnings are above the living wage; 2) a supply gap exists; and 3) a low number of programs currently exist.
