The Baking and Pastry Arts Certificate of Achievement provides students with the fundamental knowledge of Baking and Pastry principles and techniques to prepare our graduates for employment in Retail, Hotel, and Resort Bakery and Pastry kitchens.

Program Goal

The Certificate of Achievement in Baking and Pastry Arts provides students with necessary baking skills, enables students to complete the program and enter the workforce within one year of full-time enrollment.  The Certificate is also “stackable” in the pathway to the Associate Degree of Science in Baking and Pastry. 

1. Students will be able to prepare and assemble essential baking and pastry items in food service using proper skills and techniques while applying kitchen safety & sanitation rules according to industry standards.

2. Students will be able to apply basic baking and pastry skills for entry-level employment.
