Successful completion of the curriculum in Cloud Computing prepares students to advance their Information Technology careersin jobs such as cloud administrators and cloud support technicians. Many of the courses also help prepare students for industryrecognized certification exams

Program Goal

Students will understand the technologies used to migrate on-ground IT solutions to a cloud infrastructure and/or to create a mixed environment. Students will understand the billing models used by Cloud Providers and be able to optimize for both performance and price. Students will be able to demonstrate the techniques used to secure a cloud infrastructure. Students will be prepared to enter the workforce in high-wage, high-demand careers.

Program Requirements Narrative

AS Degree / Certificate of Achievement will require students to complete a variety of cloud related courses including some foundational skills in areas such as networking.

This degree was developed as part of the AWS Cloud Grant provided by the Chancellor's Office. Sierra College was the only college in our region to apply for and be awarded this grant.
