The Air Conditioning and Heating Service and Installation certificate is a first level program of study that will prepare students with entry level skills to begin a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) career. The skills gained in the program will give individuals the advantage in a crowd of candidates applying for entry-level jobs Completion of this first certificate will enable students to be employed as a maintenance technician and work toward becoming a journeyman, while also continuing their studies to earn the next level major certificate and advance in their career and earning potential.

Program Requirements Narrative

This certificate will give the individual a chance to enter the HVAC career early, which will help the person not waste time to see if this particular path in the industry, is the route they want to pursue.  This will also give them employment choices that they might not have had at the time of their education.  This will help increase living wages, it will help individuals to move forward in their employment and motivate the individual to continue to an A.A.
