The Associate in Science Business Information Technology degree provides general knowledge in business and an in-depth knowledge of a variety of business technology applications. Program topics include: accounting, organization and supervision of business activities, business communications, business computer applications, management of diversity, and intercultural communications in the workplace.
The North (Greater Sacramento) subregion held 48,134 business information professionals jobs in 2020. Business information professionals jobs are projected to increase by 2% over the next five years, adding 782 new jobs to the subregion by 2025. Over the next five years, business information professionals jobs are projected to have 5,746 annual openings in the North (Greater Sacramento) subregion.
Based on a three-year average of annual awards in the Greater Sacramento subregion business information professional programs and projected yearly openings, the supply gap analysis shows that the region seems to have room for additional training.
Given the need of local area employers and students searching for self-sufficient wages, the college conservatively projects completers to start at 10-15 in the initial years with continual growth as the AS is promoted and recognized in the community.
