Software Engineering Technology

The Software Engineering degree program concentrates on the design of complex computing systems through the application of computing languages, contextualized problem-solving, control systems, and applied mathematics. Learn about control systems, databases, and application design through hands-on, real -world, project based learning. Become qualified for multiple technologist positions, including software engineering technician, engineering assistant, application developer, and technical consultant.

10 annual completers

(a) the application of electric circuits, computer programming, associated software applications, analog and digital electronics, microcomputers, operating systems, local area networks, and engineering standards to the building, testing, operation, and maintenance of computer systems and associated software systems; and

(b) the application of natural sciences and mathematics at or above the level of algebra and trigonometry to the building, testing, operation, and maintenance of computer systems and associated software systems.

This AS degree requires 24.5 units of discipline specific coursework, and the balance of the units in general education courses.
