The conversation about stacking of awards has been a continuing one in the business department. The recent reduction in our local general education requirements gave further impetus to expansion of our “core + stacking” or “strategic stacking” approach. The courses in this certificate constitute a foundation of business knowledge and skills required for most of our degrees, with the exception of the ADT, giving students greater opportunity to complete more than one award or to switch awards without having to enroll in a completely different set of courses. Furthermore, this set of courses provides a solid and consistent foundation in business regardless of a student’s chosen specialty.
