The College of the Desert – QuickBooks Online Training Certificate of Achievement prepares students for entry-level bookkeeping and administrative support positions in a variety of fields & businesses. After the successful completion of the College of the Desert – QuickBooks Online Training Certificate of Achievement, students may seek employment as bookkeepers, entry staff accountants, office clerks, customer service representatives, and other positions that require the handling & recording of information. The student may also work as a contractor from their own home. This certificate also offers the opportunity to move forward & further a student’s education and allows for a smoother transition into a career in accounting and, eventually, CPA certification.

Program Goal

Upon successful completion of the College of the Desert – QuickBooks Training Certificate of Achievement, students will be able to successfully demonstrate bookkeeping skills and apply them using QuickBooks online. Additionally, they will acquire the knowledge to prepare payroll, generate entries, and prepare payment for all payroll related liabilities. Furthermore, students will become knowledgeable in using the proper reports to compile annual federal & state payroll reports.

The College of the Desert – QuickBooks Online Certificate of Achievement provides students with current and relevant skills that are not limited to any geographical location. Students will be able to use their newly acquired skills to work as a contractor, or as an employee, for any business, small or large. They may work locally or anywhere in the nation while maintaining their residence in the Coachella Valley.

Program Requirements Narrative

The program will require the student to complete either BUAC-066 Fundamentals of Bookkeeping or BUAC-020A Financial Accounting.  In addition they will need to take both BUAC-010 Accounting with Bookkeeping and BUAC-066 Payroll Accounting. 

All these courses are part of the Accounting Certificate and Accounting Associates program. They will keep the student on track with continuing their studies in accounting.

I uploaded the minutes and I think it removed the Labor Market Data that I had already saved before. I can upload or email the LMI Report. I also tried using the Suplemental Documents Tab, but it is not letting me upload anything either. Thank you.
