Graphic Arts

An express (untranscripted) certificate program introducing students to major components of Graphic Design and Digital Media. The program prepares students for entry-level positions in the field of graphic arts and design related office work. The courses in this certificate are required for the AA degrees in Graphic Design and Digital Media Arts.

Designed to assist high school students in staying on a path and transferring from high school directly into a degreed CTE program. Developed with students that have two goals in mind, transfer OR career. 

Courses in certificate are required for all degrees offered in both Graphic Arts and Digital Media Arts for Santa Ana College. Projected to also be a part of the Transfer Model Curriculum in Graphic Design, should the current vetted model be approved.

6 units in foundation coursework of Introduction to Digital Media Arts and 2-Dimensional Design, 3 units of History coursework, 3 units of advanced coursework work in graphics (Typography or Graphic Design).
