The Advertising and Marketing program is designed for entry-level positions and advancement opportunities. Students will gain knowledge of how to employ performance measures in the diverse areas of advertising and marketing which include demographic and SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) analysis, marketing research and development, advertising mediums, and feedback for competitive marketing strategies.

Upon completion of the programs, students will be able to:
Analyze a business by conducting a SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats).
Demonstrate an understanding of diverse segment markets and the ability to employ their use
Prepare an advertising plan
Projections are projections of the number of students to earn certificates or degrees annually. Advertising and marketing in the digital age is a high-growth area. Enrollment projections for 3 years are estimated to be 200 students. The projected certification completion rate for 3 years will be approximately 32 awards.
The Advertising and Marketing Program supports the following occupations: marketing specialist, sales representatives, account executive, account manager, outside sales representatives, and inside sales representative, customer service, business development, customer contact, account management, digital marketing, e-commerce specialists, e-commerce managers, e-commerce associates, e-commerce clerks, and SEO specialists.
The Advertising and Marketing program consists of six (6) core courses totaling 18 units and two (2) courses totaling 6 units as elective courses. The total units for the certificate is 24. The core courses lay the foundational knowledge with the initial courses in advertising and marketing which apply to a variety of mediums including print, internet, television, and radio.
