This program provides students with the academic training and hands-on experience for entry-level employment in social work and human services or to meet lower-division requirements for a major in Human Development or Social Work, leading to a Bachelor’s of Arts or Bachelor’s in Science at a four-year university.
50 students annually
Program goals include preparing students for work in public and private human services organizations and/or for transfer to a four-year university. Students will be able to show competencies in theory and practice in providing human and social services to individuals and communities.

Students will engage in a series of courses that form the required core of the major requirements and will then select electives that will allow them to select a specific area of focus.
