This Automotive Technician Certificate of Achievement prepares students to enter the automotive maintenance field with all the necessary skills to perform entry level work as well as have a thorough understanding of theory so they will be qualified to participate in advanced training at the dealer level. This program complies with our national Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification through the accreditationbody: National Automotive Teachers Education Foundation (NATEF), through which we are required to maintain certification every five years.
We anticipate roughly 50-100 completers per academic year.This estimate is based on completion rates from current certificates and program enrollment numbers.
This certificate prepares students to enter the workforce. The classes included in the certificate are directly aligned with automotive service technician employment minimum and desired qualifications.

Students must Complete required S1 courses totaling 11 units. Students choose two elective S2 courses totaling 6-16 units. Certificate total units is 17-27 units.
