The Data Quick Start Certificate of Achievement provides students short-term, foundational data skills using spreadsheet and database software. Centers of Excellence labor market information and industry advisory committee members support the demand and need for employees with these skills. The program serves as preparation for planned database and data science programs in Computer Information Systems. The program content provides beginning through advanced spreadsheet and comprehensive database skills, as well as application of these skills for data analysis of common business cases problems using spreadsheet and database software.
It is expected that 25 students will complete this certificate annually;
Upon successful completion of this program, students should be able to:
· Analyze data using Microsoft Excel data, financial, and Business Intelligence tools and functions.
· Create a database to organize, query, and provide data reports using Microsoft Access.
· Formulate and present solutions to business case problems using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
