The Technical Sales program is designed to prepare the
student for a career in a wide range of industries including
sales engineering, technical sales and technical customer
service. Jobs in technical sales support engineering, science,
and pharmaceutical companies; and the products they bring
to market through technical buyers.
24 degree completers in Year 1. This program will supportenrollment increases. Relatedengineering course offeringshave grown by 250%in the previous 5 years. Thedevelopment of a new program will meet the needs of a growing market.Students will be able tomove between this program and other relatedofferings.
1) Educate students within industry standard technical sales practices
2) Develop and refine student's oral and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and
team collaboration skills
Students are required to complete 18 units including Foundations of Technical Sales, Technical Sales Applications, Trigonometry and 11-12 units of additional requisite units (Engineering Critical Thinking, Professional and Organizational Speaking, Professional and Organizational Speaking - Honors, Public Speaking, Public Speaking - Honors, Freshman Composition, Freshman Composition - Honors, College Compositions for Non-Native English Speakers)
