Given this is a repackaging of current curriculum SDCE supports.

San Diego Mesa would recommend additional discussion at Dean's Council given that the courses are existing and being packaged into a new certificate.

Based on available LMI and COE's comments, Miramar College needs more data and/or letters of endorsement from advisory partners to support this new program.

While technically this is a new program, this certificate creates a stackable certification within the AS degree. No new curriculum is actually created.

Limited LMI.

The supply gap is concerning given the many programs available besides the private companies that offer this training and not for credit opportunities (though those are high tuition). MiraCosta does not endorse given this LMI, however, willing to hear the rationale during a deans' council meeting towards region dean agreement to endorse or not.

Palomar College submitted the appropriate LMI from the COE. However, there are four community colleges in the region that provide training for UAV-related jobs: Palomar, Grossmont, SD City, and SD Miramar. There is a potential supply gap with 82 annual job openings and entry-level wages are $29.88. Based on available LMI, the COE advises the Deans’ Council to discuss if a new program is necessary for the region before making a recommendation to the Chancellor’s Office.
