The Agriculture Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary degree with coursework in Biotechnology, Plant Science, Chemistry, Statistics, and Biology. Students will be introduced to a large breadth of topics including plant tissue culture, food testing and analysis, fermentation, molecular markers, bacterial transformation, plant anatomy, statistics, sand breeding.The focus of the program is research and food manufacturing biotechnology. The goal of the program is to provide workforce-ready graduates to agricultural industries such as food and beverage manufacturing, seed production,universities, and research and development firms. Example job titles are biological technician and agriculture or food science technician. Students will gain a firm foundation in Quality and regulatory practices.

The goal of our program is to increase the number of degrees awarded and the number of students who transfer to a 4-year institution in accordance with strategic master plan college goal A.1. The goal of our program is to increase the number of students who attain a living wage in accordance with Strong Workforce Stars.
Six of seven of the courses are required to complete the Agriculture Biotech degree or certificate of achievement. These courses can also be used to satisfy general education and transfer requirements. For those that have prerequisites, the prerequisites also fulfill GE requirements. Students can complete the associate degree in four semesters.
