LMI does not support. Is there a more focused 2 year option?

MiraCosta College endorses/recommends, however, will take the COE recommendation seriously and not pursue for MiraCosta given the bachelor's degree requirement and below the state average wages as compared to other CE programs in general.

Palomar College submitted the appropriate LMI. While most of these occupations provide a living wage, the COE recommends proceeding with caution when developing a program because 1) employers require, at minimum, a bachelor’s degree for these occupations and 2) the percentage of students who obtained a job related to their field of study and earned a living wage after completing related programs is below the state average for students who complete Career Education programs in general. The region should also note that a high number of institutions in the region provide training for these occupations.

While this program is technically a new certificate, this is really more of a program modification. The are modifying the program from a Certificate of Proficiency to a Certificate of Achievement. No new curriculum was created. This is a stackable certificate and all of the classes are required for other certificates and/or degrees.
