The elementary shop ironworkers apprenticeship certificate provides necessary elementary skills and knowledge to set an apprentice up for success as a shop ironworker. Lecture based elementary classroom work leads to knowledge that is used for practical shop floor applications covered in hands on elementary skills laboratories.

The goal of this program is to provide elementary skills and knowledge to an apprentice so that they may have a long-term successful career as an ironworker. This program is intended to build on basic foundational skills and knowledge that future ironworker programs will be built upon.The focus is on occupational needs of a shop ironworker.
