The Advanced Welding Technologies Certificate of Achievement is intended to provide student completers with the safety, skills and abilities to obtain the American Welding Society Structural Steel certification (D1.1). Student completers will be able to obtain certified level positions in the many fields that require a certification. Also students will gain design, fabrication and structural steel skills. Student can certify in Arc, MIG, TIG, and dual shield MIG welding.

Assess welding problems and defects and provide a solution.
Demonstrate critical thinking skills through structural design and fabrication.
Attempt to pass the AWS D1.1 certification.
This 20-unit program is intended to provide knowledge and skill in various welding processes and positions. The program has 6 courses varying from introductory to advanced skills.
