This certificate provides evidence of knowledge in the preparation of images and audio for multimedia output.
The courses included in this program are already in place, and have historically enjoyed strong enrollment as part of the Graphic Communications program.
This 23-unit certificate aggregates them into a pathway that could be accomplished in two or three semesters. The Motion Graphics certificate will be stackable to this one, covering half of the required coursework.
A modest estimate of completers ranges from 10-15 annually.
This program prepares students with an entry-level skillset in media development. Coursework includes design and planning, video and audio creation, web design, and motion graphics. Upon completion, the student should be able to demonstrate competency in communications techniques and visual design theory through the use of application specific software and hardware.
