Cloud Administration Certificate of Achievement provides students with technical concepts and practices in cloud architecture design, utilizing tools to deploy virtualized systems on servers, access containers to store data and maintain applications, work with different cloud-platforms to sustain business operations.

Cloud Administration program addresses continuing demands for professionals to troubleshoot, support, configure and maintain different types of cloud environment, such as AWS and Azure in organizations. According to Microsoft, "cloud computing is the delivery of computing services –including servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence – over the Internet "cloud" to offer faster innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale" (Microsoft Azure, 2021). Based on Inland Empire/Desert region Labor Market Information report, the knowledge, skills, and abilities trained by Cloud Administration in the Inland Empire/Desert Region may lead to the occupations such as Cloud Analyst, Cloud Architects, Cloud Support Specialist, Information Security Analysts, Computer User Support Specialists, Computer Network Architects, Network and Computer Systems Administrators, Database Administrators and Architects, Software Developers and Software Quality Assurance Analysts and Testers. These occupations are considered essential critical infrastructure occupations, as identified by the Public Policy Institute of California.
Courses will focus on the techniques, tools, and systems used for cloud administration aligned with organizational needs. The program prepares students for entry-level jobs, such as Junior Cloud Architect, Junior Cloud Analyst, Specialist for Cloud Services. This program can also aid students in advancing existing technical careers as Information Security Analysts, Computer User Support Specialists, Computer Network Architects, Network and Computer Systems Administrators, Database Administrators and Architects, Software Developers and Software Quality Assurance Analysts and Testers. Topics covered will include cloud technologies, database, networking and security.
