Programs in this field provide general and specific educational opportunities for students seeking employment related to residential and commercial building construction, with emphasis on equipment operation and storm water management.
We anticipate 15 students annually will earn this certificate of achievement.
Students completing this program of study will be prepared to enter the occupations of carpenters, construction laborers, construction trades helpers, and construction equipment operators.
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
1. Apply appropriate Best Management Practices (BMPs) to an Erosion and Sediment Control Plan (ESCP).
2. Utilize construction drawings to establish grade and elevation.
3. Perform excavation and grading operations to within a specified tolerance.
