This certificate includes courses that prepare students to discover and develop internal and external characteristics of entrepreneurial success, create a strategy for taking advantage of opportunity, and to take action by starting a business or work as self employed individuals or within a company.

The courses and certificate are career technical education and will help students prepare to start their own small business or give them the entrepreneurial skills to gain employment with a start up or corporation. More students are pursuing a 4 year degree and will transfer with a goal of earning a degree with an emphasis in entrepreneurship.
There is a demand for individuals to develop and learn entrepreneurial skills whether a business major or another discipline. This program begins with the development and understanding of an entrepreneurial mindset to take action on opportunities. Small business start up is a driving force in the economy and students will learn a multitude of business skills to launch a small business or apply those skills to employment.
