It is anticipated that between 10-20 students will complete the certificate annually. This program draws students from across two divisions, so the potential for increased student participation is optimistic.
This program offers an inter-disciplinary approach to social media content creation. The rising trend in social media presents a need for increased awareness the tools and techniques of branding and marketing to an online audience. Developing basic skills in planning, communication, design, photography, videography, and marketing are integral to the success of an online entrepreneur. This program is a logical extension to the role of a graphic designer, who is increasingly called upon to be a cross-media specialist.
