The Drone Videography Certificate program is a career technical education program specialty, designed for the student who has completed the Basic Drone Skills certificate and is interested in building skills to an intermediate level in the field of drone imaging with an emphasis in the video industry. The program is designed to prepare students for employment as a UAS "drone" moving image capture specialist with FAA Part 107 Pilot license certification. Students will be building knowledge and experience in the use of unmanned aircraft systems (drones) with video cameras, as well as post-production editing, careers and business practices to support entrepreneurship as a drone videographer. Required prerequisite: Completion of the Basic Drone Skills certificate program.

The program will prepare students for employment as drone videographers, as well as specialists in data and image capture in a variety of fields including photogrammetry, mapping, 3D modeling, data collection, farming and crop management, law enforceent, hazardous operations, construction management and engineering operations.
The program requires successful completion of 11-12 units of required and elective coursework as listed below. The program can be completed in one semester, although it is designed to be completed in two semesters.
