MiraCosta supports as a modification. MiraCosta's nutrition ADT graduates 0-1 per year (last year none). The nutrition classes enroll fairly well for lifelong learning GE, but, that will go away soon with the new "CalGETC" GE.

San Diego City College submitted the appropriate LMI from the COE. The COE recommends proceeding with caution when developing a new program, but supports a program modification because 1) there is a supply gap; 2) there is a high number of annual job openings; but 3) entry-level wages are below the living wage for some occupations. The region should note that employers typically only require a high school diploma or equivalent as the minimum requirement for Nutrition and Community Wellness occupations.

Wages are on the lower side, but demand is high, and growing since the pandemic. Palomar supports.
