This certificate is designed to prepare students for career paths in video production for a variety of media formats, broadcast TV, Film, YouTube, and other streaming services. The emphasis is in video production and producing content for media platforms. The outcomes for this certificate include the ability to write scripts for all forms of media, produce a concept pitch for media, develop a professional level portfolio and qualify for entry level work in media or transfer to a 4-year university.
At the completion of the program, students will be able to:
1. Create a portfolio of work to demonstrate entry-level skills
2. Write a resume for entry-level employment in media, television, or film production
3. Modify and edit film and media content for distribution
