Due to changes and advances in Banking regulations, technology, and other factors, there is a need to re-define what it means to be a Banker in the 21st Century. New skills are necessary to prepare students for an entry-level banking position in this new fast-moving environment. The Banking Certificate will prepare students to meet the challenges in entry-level positions for the modern banking environment.
Student will:
· Be familiar with banking products and services.
· Be able to identify the basic functions of a small business.
· Be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
· Have basic typing and keyboarding skills.
· Be able to advise on basic investments.
· Have a basic understanding of accounting software.
· Have a basic knowledge of accounting practices and methods.
