The Fixed Prosthodontic Certificate is included in the Dental Technology Certificate of Achievement Program. The curriculum is designed to provide students with the learning experiences pertaining to fixed prosthodontics technology, such as crown,bridge, and ceramics. The courses are sequential, delivered in 4 semesters and one intersession providing the students with a cumulative learning experience, which include: concepts of dental morphology, function, science of materials, and their application in the design and fabrication of the fixed dental prosthesis. Students will evaluate design and construct dental prosthesis by using analogue and digital tools and technologies.
Program Student Learning Outcomes:
1. Understand, interpret and follow the instructions provided by the dentist.
2. Incorporate the dental anatomy,morphology, Gnathological knowledge and science of dental materials into their constructions.
3. Design and construct fixed dental prosthesis single and multiple units.

Using state-of-the-art equipment,experienced faculty, and hands-on instruction, our program prepares students for a successful career in the restorative prosthetic dental technology. Thus,students receive a comprehensive learning experience which include basic and advanced techniques and technologies applied in the fabrication of dental prosthesis. The Dental Prosthetic Technology curriculum is designed to ready students to pass the Certified Dental Technology Exams and become a Certified Dental Technologist.
The goal of this certificate is to prepare students with the specific skills and knowledge in the specialty of Fixed Prosthodontics. This specialty includes the digital and analog design and fabrication of crowns, fixed partial dentures (bridges), Inlays, onlays, laminate veneers, and fixed dental implant restorations.
The Fixed Prosthodontic Certificate consists of 3 fundamental courses, followed by 7 core courses and 2 Directed Study courses.
