This program helps prepare students for employment or further study in the Data Management and Sciences field. Data Sciences is the identification, analyses and interpretation of volumes of data that are collected from a wide variety of sources. Students will learn to identify patterns and relationships in large data sets, to resolve business questions and make data-driven decisions. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all course work must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 15 units.

There is a shortage of computer information systems professionals in the United States. Participating in this program teaches a student practical skills that can lead to a career as an Information Systems professional in industries such as management of companies and enterprises, insurance carriers, technical and management consulting services, computer systems design and related services, and depository credit intermediation.
Careers include Business Analytics Specialist, Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer, Data Analyst, Data Visualization Developer, Operations Research Analyst, and Market Research Analyst.
Students may complete the coursework in the Data Management Certificate in one semester, or in multiple semesters. They should sequence the courses in the order below.
