The Business Analyst/Data Analytics program focuses on the skills and technical training necessary to conduct business operations analysis in order to control technical and operational budgets and to develop business strategies. The curriculum explores the use of data in decision-making, project management techniques, the uses of databases to make business decisions.
Estimates of program completion rates for programs that are in related disciplines at other regional colleges are between 59 and 80 completers over 3 years, a reasonable projection is 10-20 program completers per year.
The goal of the Data Analysis/Data Analytics Associate of Arts degree program is to provide relevant and appropriate lower-division coursework in preparation for students wanting the opportunity to work in an analyst career. The program provides students with the opportunity to transfer into business analyst and data analytics transfer programs at a variety of colleges, including California State University programs and other online private university transfer programs.
