This program focuses on vehicle systems that related either Ford ASSET, Chrysler CAP, or the Import Technician Training Program (ITTP). The courses are designed to provide students with both theory and hands-on skills that will enable them to become entry level technicians at dealerships. After the first semester students will be gaining work experience in the field.
I project having 54-60 completers earning a certificate every year.
The program goal is to provide training that will assist students in becoming entry level automotive technicians at dealerships. Below are the program objectives:
Students are required to complete the automotive electrical course. They will then continue with an engine performance course along with one work experience. The program was approved and recommend by the Cerritos College Automotive Department advisory committee on December 19, 2019.
