The Engine Repair certificate of achievement will prepare an individual for a career as amid-level technician. Students will have the ability to diagnose a variety of vehicle engine malfunctions as well as preform repairs and engine rebuilds.

Students who are wanting to come to college for purposes of gaining employable skills will benefit from having a smaller certificate of achievement in the Automotive industry to show their industry readiness prior to completion of the associate degree certificate. Jobs students would qualify for after completing this certification include but are not limited to:Mid-Level technician, Engine rebuilder, Automotive Technician and Repair Technician. The student learning outcome for the Engine Performance Certificate of Achievement is as follows: Students will be able to demonstrate proficiency in the core skills and knowledge in engine repair required for employment in the automotive industry.
To earn a Certificate of Achievement in Engine Repair,students need to complete 16 specified units in Automotive Technology coursework.
